Thank you to our departing honorary Strategic Advisors

At the CBA, we work with an exceptional team of people, including employees, secondees, consultants and volunteers, who together drive our mission forward. We are especially grateful to those who generously give their time and expertise to the CBA in an honorary capacity, to help us deliver transformative impact on the ground.

We would like to warmly thank two colleagues who have stepped down from their roles as Honorary Strategic Advisors to the CBA in 2026: Jasbir Nizar and Taraneh Azad.

We are very grateful for their commitment to the CBA over the past two years, and we wish them every success in the years ahead.

Jasbir Nizar

With a background in law and over 25 years of extensive experience in finance and the banking sector, Jasbir brings a diverse skill set and strategic perspective to her work. Her career includes leadership roles at RBS, Citi and LOIM, where she managed teams across HR, Sales, Marketing and Product Development. In addition to her financial expertise, she has developed strong client-facing relationships and worked closely with clients in the nature and sustainability sectors. This experience has deepened her understanding of environmental challenges and opportunities. She is passionate about mobilising finance for nature first investments.

Taraneh Azad

Taraneh is Chief Commercial Officer at the Paratus Group of Companies. Previously, she was Chief Investment Officer and Partner at Systemiq, a sustainability advisory and investment business, and Systemiq’s Managing Partner from 2021 – 2024. Before joining Systemiq, Taraneh spent over 25 years’ in finance through senior positions in the commodities business of major investment institutions, Goldman Sachs, Morgan Stanley and Hartree. She worked mostly with corporates and sovereigns in Europe and the Middle East on their commodity price risks. She started her career in international development at the United Nations.
