Living Labs 2.0
The Circular Bioeconomy Alliance is building a global network of Living Labs for Nature, People and Planet.
Our Living Labs for Regenerative Landscapes are the starting point of a journey towards more resilient communities and landscapes.
Each Living Lab is based on public-private partnerships that place local communities at their centre, using a landscape restoration project to catalyse the development of circular bioeconomy value chains, restore biodiversity and ensure local livelihoods. Our Living Labs blend science, technology and indigenous knowledge, operate across four continents, and range in value from £1 million to £50 million.
We aim to create a ‘proof of concept’, scaling learning by supporting research and capacity building through rigorous scientific, economic, financial and policy frameworks, blueprints and tools, underpinned by robust principles and data.
